背景资料Background Information
2018年10月15日至19日，由湖北省教育厅主办，湖北大学、三峡大学承办的首届湖北南亚高校校长论坛在武汉、宜昌举行。来自巴基斯坦、斯里兰卡、孟加拉国、印度、尼泊尔等南亚国家的10多名大学校长和代表，来自湖北省的15名大学校长和代表，以及区域研究领域的专家学者参加了会议。与会高校同意成立“南亚—湖北高校联盟”，部分高校在会议期间签署了合作协议。
From October 15 to 19, 2018, sponsored by Hubei Provincial Department of Education and organized by Hubei University and China Three Gorges University, the 1stPresidents’ Forum of Hubei-South Asian Universitieswas held in Wuhan and Yichang. More than 10 University Presidents and representatives from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India, Nepal and other South Asian countries, 15 University Presidents and representatives from Hubei Province, as well as experts and scholars on regional studies attended the conference. The participating universities agreed to set up "The South Asian -- Hubei Universities Alliance", and some universities signed cooperation agreements during the conference.
